2450 Workman (in Little Burgundy)
For a year now, in Montreal and Paris, youth have been working on a collaborative research project called MapCollab. Through workshops based on discussions and creative exercises, youth from St-Michel and Little Burgundy in Montreal, and Aubervilliers and Pantin in Paris, have been reflecting on their life experiences and the history of their neighbourhoods. The participants produced video capsules that will now make up four multimedia guides to discover these lively and vibrant neighbourhoods. See for yourself the work that was done through the workshops:
In Montreal, 19 youth participated in the project.
On May 9th, at 6pm at the Centre Culturel Georges Vanier, the participants from both neighbourhoods will present their work and perform together.
This event will also be the launch of a fundraising campaign to bring the Montreal participants to Paris in order to meet their Parisian counterparts.
