Listen to a both an interview and trumpet / poetry piece by artist Jason Blackbird Selman, recorded at CKUT fm. Jason presents Ferguson (St. Louis Blues) a new piece speaking to the struggle for justice around the killing of Michael Brown by police in Ferguson, Missouri.

In the interview Jason speaks about the important role that art can play in expressing community struggles for justice, struggles against police impunity and racial profiling. Also in this interview Jason recalls experiences growing up in NDG and recalls the Montreal police shooting of Anthony Griffin.
